RICE LAKE, Wis. (NWN) — Rice Lake police say a driver and passenger were arrested late Saturday night following a traffic stop and K9 sniff alerting to possible illegal narcotics.

After a search of the vehicle authorities said more than $500 in cash was found, along with a small amount of methamphetamine and other narcotics were found on the passenger. They were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The driver was arrested for seventh OWI and possession of THC and drug paraphernalia.

Names were not released but charges were referred to the Barron County District Attorney’s Office.
