WEBSTER, Wis. (WJMC) — St. Croix Tribal Police and authorities with Indian Child Welfare conducted a drug-related search warrant in Gaslyn on Tuesday.

The community is located in Burnett County, between Webster and Spooner.

Police Chief Donnie Holmes said the warrant was to find and protect children who are at-risk due to drug use, trafficking or manufacturing in the homes they reside. Authorities said methamphetamine paraphernalia was located, along with unsanitary living conditions with animal waste.

Chief Holmes said no names of the adults arrested, nor number or details of the children, were publicly released, in order to protect the privacy of the children.
