AMERY, Wis. (WJMC) — A burglary of a business in Amery early Saturday morning was the work of a juvenile suspect, police say.
Amery Police Chief Daniel Peters said officers were dispatched to Sports and More in Amery on Sunday. There they found a the window on a back door damaged from a break-in early Saturday morning. The owner reported cash and other items were stolen.
Surveillance footage of the suspect was posted online and they were identified. On Sunday, the juvenile was interviewed and allegedly confessed.
Charges were forwarded to the county juvenile court and Polk County District Attorney’s Office. As a juvenile, the suspect was not named by police.
