CORNELL, Wis. (WJMC) — A Woodville man arrested after allegedly attempting to rob a bank in Cornell on Thursday.
Cornell Police said officers responded to Citizens State Bank just before 9:45 a.m. on Thursday and arrested 40-year-old Kevin W. Rasmussen. He was held on a charge of attempted robbery of a financial institution.
During the incident, nearby schools were briefly placed on lockdown. Authorities said this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
Formal charges were pending for Rasmussen.
