BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — An update on last week’s shooting.
The man shot and killed Wednesday in Barron was 20-year-old Tyler Sadowski. According to information shared by family members online and with news media, Tyler was killed while protecting his sister, 17-year-old Makayla Sadowski, who was expecting.
Family said Makayla was seven months pregnant when she and Tyler were shot at her home in Barron on Wednesday afternoon. The baby was delivered and is in stable condition and Makayla has undergone multiple surgeries.
Police responding to the shooting found the male suspect injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to an area hospital. He has not been named.
