EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WJMC) — The driver who caused a fatal crash in Eau Claire early Wednesday morning has been charged.
Eau Claire Police said 27-year-old Anthony M. Reyes, of Eau Claire, was arrested on charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, first-degree reckless homicide and fleeing from police.
Reyes was fleeing from police, speeding, driving without headlights and driving into oncoming traffic just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, when he collided with a car driven by 35-year-old Jack Ritchie, of Eau Claire and formerly of Chetek. Ritchie was killed in the crash, Reyes was injured.
