BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — Today, former state trooper Jodi Kummet is sworn in as Barron County’s newest sheriff.
She was appointed to the position by Gov. Tony Evers. She will serve the remainder of the term through January 2027, that was previously held by Chris Fitzgerald. He stepped down for a new position at Mosaic Technologies, in Cameron.
Kummet is sworn in at noon today.
