RADISSON, Wis. (WJMC) — A 61-year-old Radisson woman is dead after being stabbed, police say.
Sawyer County Sheriff Doug Mrotek said deputies were called to a residence west of Radisson on Tuesday afternoon and found 61-year-old Lynette D. Coaty deceased from apparent stab wounds. Investigators identified a potential suspect.
Later that afternoon, deputies stopped a car near Radisson and arrested 37-year-old Yevhen Kravchenko, also of Radisson. He was booked in the Sawyer County Jail for first-degree intentional homicide.
Formal charges are pending and the incident is under investigation by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, with help from the state crime lab and medical examiner’s office.
