MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — At the Capital, Republican lawmakers are again proposing a medical marijuana bill.

Wausau area Representative Pat Snyder says it’s important to get people talking even though a medical marijuana bill has never made it to the floor for a vote.

“I have people at the doors when I go out and campaign and see them, they say ‘Keep putting that out there. We need it’. And so I think that’s why we do it. We just don’t want to let it get forgotten,” Snyder said.

Snyder says people who need alternatives to harder medications for pain relief and cancer recovery deserve a hearing. Snyder, and Senators Mary Felzkowski and Pat Testin have altered last year’s attempt by removing state-operated dispensaries and leaving sales to private businesses.
