BARRON, Wis. (WJMC) — A shooting homicide in Barron Wednesday afternoon — one victim is dead, another victim injured and the suspected shooter was injured by a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
The incident happened in the city of Barron, in the 650 block of Candy Lane, Wednesday afternoon, said the Barron County Sheriff’s Department and Barron Police Department in a joint press release.
There is no danger to the public.
Authorities said a call reported the shooting at a residence. Responding officers found one male victim dead and a female victim injured. The suspect was found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The woman and the suspect were transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are not known.
No other details were shared about the suspect at this time.
