MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Keeping an eye on Wisconsin air quality has been made easier.
The Department of Natural Resources has launched its new and improved air quality data map. The online resource presents real-time data from the state’s air quality monitoring network in a color-coded guide to pollution levels based on the Air Quality Index.
The map will feature an “Orange or Above” AQI filter to identify when air quality reaches levels that could impact a person’s health. Smoke from Canadian wildfires that has reached Wisconsin over the past few summers has increased interest in air quality monitoring in the state.
You can view the map by logging onto air quality.wi.gov.
