MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — Wisconsin’s dairy industry is no stranger to bringing home championships and awards.
Alice in Dairyland Sarah Hagenow says Wisconsin cheese has been racking those up for decades.
“Since 1995, Wisconsin has won more awards for our cheese than any other state or nation in the world. As of 2025, our medal count was at over 7,600. So Wisconsin is certainly pulling our weight on the podium there,” said Hagenow.
Hagenow says if you want to make sure you’re buying a Wisconsin dairy product, look for the Proudly Wisconsin badge or the number 55 on milk packaging.
