MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — The Red Cross is urging you to get CPR and first aid certified.
Southwest Wisconsin chapter executive director Kyle Kriegl says 300,000 expiernce a cardiac event outside of a hospital every year in the U.S.
“Having people trained and know what to do when an emergency happens is so critical. And CPR/AED training is not just a medical skill, it’s essential for caregiving. And so we strongly urge folks to take a Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED course and keep those skills sharp. You just never know when you’re going to need that skill and put it to work,” Kriegl said.
