MENOMONIE, Wis. (WJMC) — A crash and fire of two semi trucks on I-94 near Menomonie on Monday resulted in a nearly 5-hour-long detour.
The State Patrol said a semi truck was traveling slowly on the shoulder when it was rear-ended by another semi, causing one to catch fire, just before 11 a.m. on Monday. All occupants were able to exit the vehicles, with one person reporting minor injuries.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and eastbound traffic was detoured on Highway 29.
The crash was cleared after 3:30 p.m. Monday.
