RICE LAKE, Wis. (WJMC) — A winter storm warning for this evening.
The National Weather Service says between 9 p.m. tonight and 9 a.m. Wednesday, Barron, Rusk and St. Croix counties can expect rain changing to three to six inches of heavy snow. Winds may gust as high as 45 mph, creating blizzard conditions.
For Burnett, Sawyer and Washburn counties, six to 12 inches of snow and gusts up to 35 mph are expected between 6 p.m. to midnight.
Conditions will make travel difficult or even hazardous.
